Do you think when writing a children's book that it must be enjoyable for parents to read in order for children to enjoy it?
What are your thoughts?
When drawing characters for a book, it is important to choose what the character is supposed to portray. These are sample drawing for a new book that I am working on. Each with different qualities depending on the story and which style character is being used.
Here are some artist's notes to help decide which style to use and descriptions behind why:
Style one: The bee has more human features to express more emotions with use of its face and more human like appearance.
Style two: The bee is more accurate to the actual bee that has big eyes and stylized features, to make the design more fun.
Style three: This be has a more exaggerated feel to it, eyes going outside of its face to make it have more expressions.
At times you can mix and match different qualities of each image.
