Jacques Henri Lartigue was a French photographer and painter, born in Courbois, a suburb of Paris, on June 13, 1894, and died in Nice on September 12, 1986. He is known for his depictions of the joys and playfulness of upper-class French life in the early 20th century. Lartigue was interested in photography from a young age, taking his first photographs with his father's camera at the age of seven.

Lartigue captured the joys and fun of everyday life, the pastimes and hobbies of his family and friends. His photographs are full of movement, dynamism, and energy.

He was interested in photography from a young age, and many of his most famous photographs were taken during his childhood and adolescence.

Lartigue used small handheld cameras that allowed him to move around easily and capture fleeting moments.

In addition to their artistic value, Lartigue's photographs also have historical value. They offer a vivid picture of life in France in the early 20th century.

Lartig is a pioneer of amateur and family photography.

He took more than 100,000 photographs during his life. He also painted in his youth, and was talented in this field.

He produced more than 110 albums and donated his collection to France in 1979.

He died in Nice at the age of 92.
